For the latest Baselworld 2013 event that ended on Thursday, the Swiss Luxury Tissot T-Race Touch Analog-Digital replica watch has updated its range of analog-digital chronograph watches. Unsurprisingly, in terms of sheer functionality, the watch doesn’t deliver anything groundbreaking with its list of functions being very close to that of any given Casio G-Shock about three times cheaper than this specimen.
Compared to earlier iterations of the model, this new Tissot T-Race Touch (ref. T081.420.17.057.00) looks a lot more interesting and, well, even expensive. However, I am still not sure whether the actual production versions of the watch will look as good as the heavily photoshopped image on the promotional photo that you can see right after the jump.
Its inventory of features includes a chronograph with timer and lap timer, as well as the usual for the niche of electronic sporty Tissot replica watches tides calculator, second time zone indication via the large backlit LCD display, as well as a compass (touch the sapphire crystal at six o’clock and the hands will align pointing you at magnetic North), and a logbook. Predictably, all the functionality comes courtesy of the ETA E49.303: another version of a similar quartz caliber that was used by Certina in its DS Multi-8 GMT Analogue/Digital watch.
In terms of appearance, you can see that, while preserving the basic cushion-shaped silhouette of the watch, the new Tissot T-Race Touch offers a more advanced design with its multi-split bezel and chronograph push-pieces looking like the timekeeper was (at least partly) inspired by Valve’s Portal or, perhaps, Half-Life 2.
The logbook, by the way, is a very nice feature if you still don’t happen to own a smartphone with a workout app like, say, RunKeeper or Sports Tracker. Although the timekeeper’s name implies that you should use it on a race track, you can in fact use the gadget to measure time taken to complete a lap or a course while jogging, running or riding on a mountain bike.
I just hope that they have finally solved the usual issues with dim LCD screens that too often required backlighting to be used, as well as with their alarm buzzer that was just too quiet to be heard.

At a minimum suggested price of $575 the new Tissot T-Race copy watch is not terribly expensive and can actually be recommended for those who are interested in a timekeeper that would look great both in a gym and inside a conference room.
